Most issues with Linkstonic have a straightforward fix. This guide covers the most frequently reported problems across every module — SEO audits, AI visibility, Google Search Console, alerts, and billing. Work through the relevant section below, and if the problem persists, reach out to support at the bottom of this page.

SEO audit issues

Try the following steps in order:
  1. Confirm the URL is publicly accessible. The page must be reachable without authentication, a VPN, or a Cloudflare bot challenge. Paste the URL into a private browser window to verify. If the page returns a login screen or a CAPTCHA, Linkstonic cannot audit it.
  2. Refresh the page and re-run the audit. Transient network errors occasionally interrupt an audit. Re-running it usually resolves the issue.
  3. Check your monthly audit limit (Starter plan). Starter allows 3 SEO audits per month. If you’ve reached that limit, the audit will not run. Go to Settings → Billing to upgrade to Pro for unlimited audits.
  4. Wait for the PageSpeed retry. If the PageSpeed check fails, Linkstonic retries it automatically. Your audit results may appear after a short delay — typically under 60 seconds. Refresh the audit results page before re-running.
PageSpeed scores can vary between runs — this is expected behavior. A few things to know:
  • Google’s PageSpeed Insights API returns lab data, which measures simulated performance under controlled conditions. Lab scores can fluctuate based on server response times, third-party scripts loading differently, and timing variations in the testing environment.
  • Linkstonic caches PSI results for 24 hours to give you consistent data within a reporting period. The next audit after the cache expires will fetch fresh results.
  • To verify Linkstonic’s result, compare it directly with https://pagespeed.web.dev for the same URL. If you see a large discrepancy between multiple consecutive runs there too, the score variation is coming from Google’s API rather than Linkstonic.

AI visibility & TrueTrace issues

AI model outputs are highly query-dependent — the same brand can appear in one phrasing of a question and be absent from a slightly different one. A few things to check:
  • Add more varied keywords. Broaden your tracked keywords to reflect different ways customers describe your product category, use case, or problem space. Niche or long-tail phrasing often surfaces mentions that category-level keywords miss.
  • Run TrueTrace in Brand mode. Quick mode uses only one AI model, which gives you a single data point. Brand mode with Hybrid analysis runs across multiple models and gives you a fuller cross-platform picture.
  • Give AI Tracking time to accumulate data. Tracking results improve as Linkstonic builds a history of query results for your keywords. If you set up tracking recently, check back after 24–48 hours for a more representative sample.
Hybrid mode runs multi-model validation across multiple AI platforms simultaneously. This typically takes 1–3 minutes to complete. If a Hybrid audit exceeds 5 minutes:
  1. Refresh the page — the results may already be ready and waiting.
  2. If the audit still shows as in-progress after refreshing, a server-side error may have occurred. Re-run the audit.
  3. If the problem repeats on multiple attempts, contact support with the audit ID so the team can investigate.
The citability score is a predictive estimate, not a guarantee of AI citations. A high score means your content has the structural, authority, and formatting signals that AI models prefer — but citation decisions are made by the AI models themselves at inference time, and several factors outside your content influence the outcome:
  • Training data freshness: AI models have training cutoffs. Content published after a model’s cutoff won’t be in its training data until the next update cycle.
  • Query phrasing: Slight differences in how a question is worded can change which sources a model draws from.
  • Competition: If competing pages have stronger authority signals on a specific topic, they may be cited instead.
Use the Feedback Loop feature to track actual citation events over time alongside your citability score. This lets you correlate content improvements with real citation outcomes rather than relying on the score alone.

Google Search Console integration issues

After you connect Google Search Console, allow up to 24 hours for the initial data sync to complete. If data still isn’t showing after 24 hours:
  1. Verify that the Google account you connected has Owner or Full User access to the GSC property — Restricted User access does not provide sufficient permissions.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations and check that the connection status shows Connected. If it shows an error or a reconnect prompt, disconnect and reconnect the account.
  3. Confirm you selected the correct GSC property (matching your brand’s domain) during the OAuth flow.
Permissions errors during the GSC OAuth flow are usually caused by one of two things:
  • Wrong Google account: Make sure you sign in with the Google account that has direct access to the GSC property, not a secondary or personal account.
  • Google Workspace restrictions: If your organization uses Google Workspace, an administrator may have restricted third-party app access to GSC scopes. Ask your Google Workspace admin to allow Linkstonic access, or use a personal Google account that has the GSC property added to it.
This is expected, and it stems from how each view aggregates data:
  • GSC data in SearchMind is averaged over the selected date range. Average position across many days smooths out day-to-day ranking fluctuations.
  • SearchMind point-in-time positions reflect rankings at the moment of the query, which can differ from a multi-day average.
  • Rankings also vary by query, device, and location. Use the country filter in SearchMind to narrow your comparison to a specific geography before drawing conclusions about discrepancies.

Alerts & Discord issues

If email alerts aren’t arriving:
  1. Check your spam folder for messages from Linkstonic. Mark them as not spam to prevent future filtering.
  2. Review your alert configuration: Go to Alerts and verify the trigger type, threshold, and delivery method are set correctly. Make sure the delivery method is set to Email and the address is correct.
  3. Add linkstonic.com to your email allowlist (sometimes called a whitelist or safe senders list) in your email client or security settings to ensure future emails are delivered.
Work through these checks in order:
  1. Verify the webhook URL in Settings → Integrations → Discord. Copy the URL directly from Discord’s server settings to avoid typos.
  2. Confirm the webhook still exists in Discord. Discord webhook URLs become invalid if the channel is deleted or the webhook is manually removed. Go to your Discord server settings, open Integrations → Webhooks, and verify the webhook is still listed. If it’s missing, create a new one and update the URL in Linkstonic.
  3. Check your plan. Discord webhook delivery is available on Pro and Agency plans only. If you’re on Starter, upgrade to enable this feature.
If you regenerate a webhook URL in Discord, you must update the URL in Linkstonic as well — the old URL will immediately stop working.

Account & billing issues

Each plan has defined limits:
  • Starter: 3 SEO audits/month, 10 keywords, 1 brand. Upgrade to Pro to increase all three limits.
  • Pro: Unlimited SEO audits, 100 keywords, 5 brands. Upgrade to Agency for unlimited keywords and brands.
  • Agency: Unlimited SEO audits, unlimited keywords, unlimited brands.
Go to Settings → Billing to view your current usage and upgrade your plan. Upgrades take effect immediately.
The 14-day Pro trial requires no credit card to start. You are only charged if you explicitly add a payment method and your trial period expires without downgrading. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support at support@linkstonic.com with your account email address and the date of the charge. The support team will investigate and resolve the issue promptly.
If your issue isn’t listed here, email support@linkstonic.com with your account email, the affected feature, and a description of what you expected vs what happened. The more detail you include, the faster the team can help.
